How To Apply

  • The application process for the Canadian scholarship is online.
  • Applicants must create an account at the FGS Scholarship Management Platform, or if they already have a Dalhousie NetID, then they can log in through it.
  • Applicants must create a new scholarship application. Only one application will be accepted by one applicant; please do not submit different Harmonised Scholarship Applications.
  • Select the scholarship application category in which you want to apply (Master’s Level Entrance Scholarships, PhD-level Entrance Scholarships, PhD-level In-Program Scholarships).
  • Applicants are encouraged to fill out the self-identification questionnaire found on the online scholarship platform. This allows the administrators to make sure that your application proceeds into the review process for scholarship award opportunities with their specific eligibility criteria.
  • Click the “Save and Next” option at the bottom of every page to proceed with the application form. You can also save your application for later by clicking “Save.”
  • Applicants must upload the official transcripts to the scholarship portal. Before uploading, transcripts from different institutions/universities must be combined into a single PDF.
  • Applicants must submit all the reference assessments to the portal before the application deadline (January or February, depending on the program) because the application portal will close to everyone after the application deadline, and incomplete applications will be disqualified. Reference letters must be submitted on the portal. Email or hard copy will not be accepted. After your referee submits the reference, you will get a notification.
  • Applicants must agree to the terms and conditions and click “Save and Finalise” to submit the Harmonised application.
