Applicants for the Global Business School Network (GBSN) Premium Scholarship for students from developing countries are welcome to apply. Hanken School of Economics in Finland is offering two premium scholarships for its two-year Master’s Degree program in 2025-26 to students currently studying at or alumni of GBSN member schools from developing countries.
The Global Business School Network (GBSN) fosters cross-border networking, knowledge sharing, and collaboration within its membership and with the broader business education and development communities. Its growing network includes over 70 renowned business schools on six continents.

Eligibility Criteria:
- To be considered for the Premium Scholarship, the candidate must be a student or alumni with a university degree from a GBSN member school by January 8, 2025.
- Applicants with a university degree from a school located in the countries listed above as of 8 January 2025.
- The scholarship is awarded only to eligible applicants in the main admission round for English-taught master’s programs.

Admission Criteria for Master’s Degree at Hanken School of Economics:
- The applicant must have a bachelor’s or master’s degree from a recognised university or a university of applied sciences.
- Be proficient in the English language (TOEFL: 92, IELTS: 6.5 or PTE Academic: 62).
- Cambridge C1 Advanced: Grade C
- Applicants must have taken the GMAT or GRE test
- The minimum required test scores for the GMAT (550-515) and GRE (150 in the Verbal Reasoning section and 3.5 in the Analytic Writing section)
- Proof of at least 25-30 ECTS in the relevant subject to their study program.

Selection Criteria
Applications will be assessed against the following criteria:
- Eligibility Check: Applicants meeting the general eligibility criteria proceed to academic assessment.
- Assessment Process: The program coordinator evaluates candidates based on:
- Academic success and skills, considering the scope, content, and performance in relevant previous studies.
- The applicant’s CV is included in the evaluation.
- Scoring:
- Academic assessment uses a 1.00–5.00 scale (not GPA but an average of section scores).
- To qualify for the ranking, applicants must have 25–30 ECTS in relevant subjects and a minimum total score of 3.00.
- Tiebreakers:
- If scores are tied, sub-scores are considered in this order: 1) success, 2) content, and 3) scope of relevant studies.
- Further ties are resolved using specific tied-score rules.

- Ranking and eligibility are based on documents submitted by the attachment deadline.
- Only documents listed in the admissions requirements are evaluated.
