Government of Ireland – International Education Scholarships 2024: The GOI-IES scholarship programme assists deserving international students who want to pursue master’s level or PhD studies in Ireland [1]. The programme is supported by the Government of Ireland in collaboration with Irish HEIs and implemented by the Higher Education Authority. As part of the initiative, 60 scholarships are provided annually for one year of full-time study at master’s or PhD level. Any field of study can apply for the programme.

AID PACKAGES
- A Government of Ireland International Education Scholarship is a grant equivalent to the annual stipend allowance of €10,00 which provides full-time study for one year at master’s or PhD level.
RULES TO GET AID / ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Applicants are expected to demonstrate:
- A record of outstanding academic achievement;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Evidence of participation in extracurricular activities, for example humanitarian work, politics, arts or sport; and
- A strong rationale for pursuing their study in Ireland that indicates how a Government of Ireland International Education Scholarship would align with their longer-term goals.

In all programs there are two (2) references that have to be uploaded via the online portal. It is advisable to have the candidates submit their applications much earlier than in that day because there would have been a lot of activity on that day and it might surpass capacity for quite long; hence leading to system delay. Neither can an application be placed by the closing date. It cannot be possible to alter any application once it has been forwarded.
