Eligibility Criteria for HIT CSC Scholarship 2026

Applicants must meet the following conditions:

  • Must be a non-Chinese citizen
  • Must be in good physical and mental health
  • For Master’s programs:
    • Hold a Bachelor’s degree
    • Be under 35 years of age
  • For PhD programs:
    • Hold a Master’s degree
    • Be under 40 years of age
  • Demonstrate strong academic performance
  • Show good research potential
  • Must not be receiving any other scholarship

  • Master’s applicants must possess a recognized Bachelor’s degree
  • PhD applicants must possess a recognized Master’s degree

Applicants must prepare and submit the following documents:

  • Chinese Government Scholarship application form (CSC form), completed in English or Chinese
  • Highest academic degree certificate (notarized copy)
  • Academic transcripts (notarized copy)
  • Certified English translation of documents if originals are not in English
  • Two academic recommendation letters written in English
  • Study plan or research proposal (minimum 800 words)

Application submissions open from November 1, 2025, with the following deadlines:

  • Stage 1 Deadline: December 31, 2025
  • Stage 2 Deadline: February 20, 2026

Applications are evaluated based on the date HIT receives the application materials.
