International Student Retention Scholarship At Portland State University 2025. This guide details the International Student Retention Scholarship (ISRS) offered by Portland State University (PSU) for the 2025 academic year.
Important Dates:
- Fall Term: July 15, 2024 (Application Deadline)
- Winter Term: October 15, 2024 (Application Deadline)
- Spring Term: February 15, 2025 (Application Deadline)
Eligibility:
- Open to all international students (except those specified below) currently enrolled at PSU.
- Undergraduate students: Sophomore standing, completed at least 3 terms at PSU, minimum GPA of 2.75.
- Transfer undergraduate students: Sophomore standing, completed at least 1 term at PSU, minimum GPA of 2.75.
- Post-baccalaureate and graduate students: Completed at least 1 term at PSU, minimum GPA of 3.00.
- Co-enrolled students at another USCIS-approved institution are also eligible.
- Must have clear degree goals and demonstrate progress towards them.

Ineligibility:
- U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or those eligible for U.S. federal financial aid.
- Students paying in-state tuition, or receiving other fee remission awards.
- Students with Employment Authorization Documents (except through Economic Hardship).
Award Benefits:
- Partial tuition scholarship of $1,500 per term, or full tuition cost (whichever is lower).
- Applicable to Fall, Winter, and Spring terms only.
- Renewable for a maximum of six terms.
