The MPOWER Global Citizen Scholarship is open to students who are currently enrolled in, or have been accepted into, a full-time degree program at an MPOWER-supported U.S. or Canadian university. Scholarship Benefits
Three awards will be granted for this intake:
- Grand Prize: $8,000

Important: Applicants can apply only once per year. Scholarships cannot be transferred, sold, or assigned.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the MPOWER Global Citizen Scholarship 2025, applicants must:
- Be enrolled or accepted in a full-time degree program at an MPOWER-supported school in the USA or Canada.
- Be an international student legally permitted to study in the USA or Canada.
- For studies in the USA, applicants must meet one of the following:
- Hold a valid study visa.
- Be protected under DACA.
- Be a U.S. permanent resident (Green Card holder).
- For studies in Canada, applicants must:
- Hold Canadian permanent residency, OR
- Have a valid Canadian study permit.
Selection Process
Scholarship recipients will be chosen based on:
- Essay Quality: Clear, compelling, and well-structured, showing a strong vision, goals, and excellent English communication skills.
- Potential: Demonstrated ability to excel as a scientist, leader, entrepreneur, or changemaker.
- Field Alignment: Clear link between the applicant’s chosen field of study and their future aspirations.
