Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Peking University Boya Postdoctoral Fellowship 2026 (Fully Funded), applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Open to scholars of all nationalities
- Applicants must be under 35 years old and have earned their PhD within the last three years
- Current PKU postdoctoral researchers may apply if their contract period does not exceed six months (from application start date)
- Applicants with at least two years of postdoctoral experience may apply for senior research tracks
- Selection is based on:
- Academic qualifications and background
- Strength of research proposal
- Recommendations and endorsements
- Supervisor’s commitment at Peking University
- Clear demonstration of how the proposed research aligns with PKU’s resources and expertise

- Round Two: October 10, 2025
A total of 380 fellowships will be awarded: approximately 230 fellowships in the first round and 150 in the second round.
Application Process
To apply for the Peking University Boya Postdoctoral Fellowship 2026, applicants must:
- Select a Peking University faculty member to act as their postdoctoral supervisor.
- Obtain formal approval from the supervisor.
- Prepare all required documents in a single PDF file.
- Submit the application by email to the relevant departmental coordinator (contact list provided in the official announcement).
- Incomplete applications will not be considered.
Applicants completing their PhD in 2025 are eligible for Round One, while those finishing by July 1, 2026, may apply for Round Two.
