Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

  • Have completed at least 12 units of standard graded courses at SFU.

  • Be enrolled in a minimum of 12 units of standard courses during the application term.

  • Maintain a minimum CGPA of 3.50.

  • Note: Challenge, audit, and credit-free courses are not eligible.

  • Co-op term (3 units) does not fulfill enrollment requirements.

  • Students with disabilities may apply with a minimum of 6 units and a letter from SFU’s Centre for Accessible Learning (CAL).

  • Entrance award recipients can still apply for scholarships after the award is fully disbursed.

  • Some scholarships and financial aid are dedicated to Indigenous students (First Nations, Métis, Inuit).

  2. Select Scholarships – Browse the SFU Scholarships List for eligible opportunities.
  3. Apply Online
    • Log in at go.sfu.ca
    • Navigate to Student Center → Finances → Financial Aid and Awards → Apply for Scholarships or Awards
    • Select scholarships/awards and submit application
  4. Submit Documents – Send supporting materials by email to faawards@sfu.ca before the deadline.
  5. Direct Deposit Setup – Ensure you are enrolled in direct deposit via the Student Accounts Office for scholarship disbursement.
