Eligibility Criteria for MIT Summer Research Program 2026
To be considered for the MSRP 2026 (Fully Funded), applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.
- Must be enrolled full-time in a degree-granting undergraduate program at an accredited U.S. institution or its territories (excluding MIT).
- Must be a sophomore, junior, or non-graduating senior.
- Graduation date must be no earlier than December 2026.
- Must have a genuine interest in pursuing graduate studies at MIT, excluding professional Sloan programs such as MBA, EMBA, and LGO.
- Eligible applicants include:
- U.S. citizens
- U.S. permanent residents
- DACA students
- International students enrolled full-time at U.S. universities
- Students are not eligible if:
- They are exchange students
- They are pursuing their undergraduate degree outside the United States
