Applications for the 2025–26 East China University CSC Scholarships in China are currently open. These scholarships are funded by the Chinese government and are available to international students from around the world. If you are interested in pursuing a master’s or doctoral degree, East China University of Science and Technology encourages you to apply. This fully funded scholarship is offered for the 2025–2026 academic year.

Benefits

  • The fully financed East China University CSC Scholarships will cover 100% of the tuition.
  • Furthermore, the students will receive complimentary housing on campus.
  • Additionally, pupils will get the following monthly allowance:
    • 3,000 CNY per month for a master’s degree.
    • 3,500 CNY per month for the doctoral degree.
  • Furthermore, under the East China University CSC Scholarships 2024, overseas students will also receive full medical insurance.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must hold a valid degree (a bachelor’s degree for master’s candidates, a master’s degree for doctoral applicants), be non-Chinese citizens, and be in excellent health.
  • Candidates must fulfill the language requirements.
  • HSK 5 for 210 or HSK 6 for 180 are the minimal qualifications for the Chinese-taught program. Applicants for exemption from HSK requirements must hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree from a Chinese-taught program at a Chinese university.
  • Programs taught in English: must meet the minimum TOEFL 80 or IELTS 6.0 standards, or show documentation of English-taught coursework from a prior degree. The English Proficiency Certificate is not required to be submitted by native English speakers.

Selection Criteria

  • ECUST uses the “application-evaluation” approach to choosing overseas graduates while upholding the values of impartiality, fairness, and transparency. Once the College of International Education has reviewed the materials and scheduled an interview, excellent applications will be chosen and sent to the school for a professional academic review.
  • Applicants can monitor the status of their applications through the ECUST online application system. ECUST will send acceptance letters and visa application forms to those who are accepted.
  • Applicants must confirm that the data they have submitted on their applications and the supporting documentation are true and accurate. The student will not be admitted or their study qualification will be revoked if the Admission Office or the Certification Department confirms that any of the documents are false.

Required Documents

  • A copy of the passport photo page.
  • A copy of the highest education level’s diploma and degree certificate: In order to verify their current enrollment status and anticipated graduation date, prospective diploma holders must present an authentic document from their current educational institution. A scan copy of the graduation and degree certificate will be supplied prior to registration if the candidate is accepted.
  • The transcripts of every undergraduate course taken.
  • Verification of language competency in either Chinese or English HSK scores earned on or after September 1, 2023, are valid
  • Acceptance Letter (Please make sure you upload in the manner that the relevant schools have requested.
  • Two recommendation letters from a professor or associate professor, written in either English or Chinese: Recommendation letters must be sent after September 1, 2023, and they must include the referee’s signature, title, institute, contact details, and email.
  • A minimum 800-word study plan and, if one has been created, a thorough research proposal.
  • Other supporting documents. For example, published articles, honors, and certifications
  • The Certificate of No Criminal Record. Please sign the Non-criminal Record Affirmation if the candidate is unable to obtain one in their home nation. A certificate from the university attesting to their good performance can be submitted by foreign students studying in China.
  • Financial Support Statement.
  • The Foreigner Physical Examination Form in copy form. Applicants should retain the original form. Every item on the form must be covered during the physical examination. Forms that are incomplete or without the attending physician’s signature, the hospital’s official stamp, or a sealed photo of the applicant are deemed invalid. Since the results are only valid for six months, please carefully consider when to arrange your physical checkup.

  • Only documents in Chinese or English are acceptable; if not, a notarized copy of the translation in either language must be submitted.
  • If additional documentation is required, it must be sent in addition to the application materials listed above. Whether the application is accepted or denied, the application materials will not be returned.

How to Apply?

  • To begin your application for the East China University CSC Scholarship in China 2025, click the Apply Now button below.
  • Candidates need to register for the CSC Online Application System.
  • Choose the Category B system and East China University’s Agency Code, 10251, after logging into the CSC portal. Proceed to upload all required documents, sign the application, submit it, and print it. This one is necessary, together with the East China University application form.
  • After that, applicants must also submit their university applications through the ECUST online portal for international students.
  • Complete the form by entering all necessary and accurate information.
  • The application fee and other necessary information must be submitted by the deadline for the ECUST CSC scholarship.
