In comparison, international students are eligible for 50% scholarships in Master’s programmes and 100% and 50% in PhD programmes. - Category ‘E’ Research Assistant Position: Students with 100% scholarships will have the chance to work as research assistants, required to work at least 6 hours per week.
Eligibility Criteria
You must meet the following requirements:
International and TR National PhD Programme Candidates:
- Graduated with a minimum CGPA of 3.00 (out of 4.00) from an undergraduate degree programme
- Graduated with a CGPA between 2.75 and 2.99 (out of 4.00) from an undergraduate degree programme with:
- ALES band of 65 or higher (for Turkish citizens).
- Minimum CGPA of 3.50 (out of 4.00) from a Graduate (Master’s) programme.
TR National Master’s Programme Candidates:
- Graduated with a minimum CGPA of 3.00 (out of 4.00) from an undergraduate degree programme
- Graduated with a CGPA between 2.75 and 2.99 (out of 4.00) from an undergraduate degree programme with:
- An ALES band of 65 or higher is required for thesis programmes.
- ALES score of 65 or higher from any type for non-thesis programmes.
General Eligibility:
- Scholarships are available only for new students enrolling for the first time in their respective programmes.
- Students who terminate their registration and re-apply are not eligible for scholarships.
- Students with special or visiting student status are not eligible.
- The departmental ranking and assessment criteria (beyond CGPA) are used to select scholarship recipients.
- Shortlisted candidates must complete their registration by the specified deadline; otherwise, new candidates may replace them on the second list.
- Students whose names appear in the second scholarship list and face compelling reasons (e.g., visa, transportation issues) can appeal for an extension.
- Scholarships will be cancelled if a student, once registered at the same level of the programme at EMU, re-applies.
