Eligibility Criteria
Candidates should meet the eligibility criteria for the KAUST Fellowship program:
- Admitted students at KAUST are eligible to apply for this program.
- Admission criteria to the Ph.D. program include completing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a science-related field, such as Engineering, Mathematics, or the Physical, Chemical, and Biological Sciences.
- Students may require completing three stages and associated milestones for Ph.D. students:
- Passing a qualifying exam,
- Oral defense of the dissertation proposal
- Dissertation phase with a final defense milestone
- Admission to the Master of Science program needs the satisfactory completion of a Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant area, including Engineering, Mathematics, or the Physical, Chemical, and Biological Sciences.

How To Apply
KAUST admission process comprises four main steps as follows:
- Admission Review: All applicants should submit a complete application package for review to the Admissions Office.
- Faculty Review Committee: Shortlisted applications will pass the faculty review committee of each program after the admissions review.
- Academic Interview: Selected applicants will receive an invitation to an academic interview with the KAUST Faculty.
- KAUST Interview: Applicants will participate in this personal interview via Skype, video chat, or in person.
