Are you part of a scientific institution or research group in a Least Developed Country (LDC) looking to establish long-term collaborations with leading global scientists? The TWAS Research Professors in LDCs program provides a unique opportunity for research institutions to invite TWAS Fellows and TWAS Young Affiliates/Alumni to their country. These renowned scientists will enhance the local scientific landscape, offering expertise in the natural sciences while fostering sustainable development.
Through this program, selected TWAS Research Professors will visit host institutions in LDCs for two to four weeks, providing advanced training and contributing to research activities. The program aims to strengthen the host institution’s research capabilities and foster scientific collaboration. In return, the hosting institution covers local living expenses, while TWAS covers travel costs.
Institutions in LDCs can greatly benefit from these interactions. The visiting professors may also deliver lectures and seminars to research students, ensuring that knowledge transfer and capacity building remain at the forefront of this initiative. The professor and the host institution must submit a detailed report after the visit.
