Who is Eligible to Apply?
To qualify for the JJ/WBGSP Scholarship 2025, you must:
- Be a citizen of a developing country (See the eligible countries list)
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree earned at least 3 years before application
- Have at least 3 years of recent development-related work experience
- Be currently employed in a full-time development-related job
- Be in good health
- Have an unconditional admission offer from one of the JJ/WBGSP preferred universities
You are NOT eligible if you:
- Hold dual citizenship of a developed country
- Are an Executive Director or staff member of the World Bank Group
- Plan to study at a university in your home country
Selection Process
The World Bank Scholarship 2025 selection is highly competitive. Applications are reviewed based on:
- Professional Experience (30%) – Work in development-related fields
- Letters of Recommendation (30%) – Quality references from professionals
- Commitment to Home Country (30%) – Plans to contribute to your country’s development
- Education Background (10%) – Previous academic performance
Applicants from disadvantaged backgrounds with limited financial resources receive priority.
