Tuition fee grants for Bachelor’s Degree:

  • Tuition fee subsidies will be granted to candidates in a variety of forms:
    • €114,210 per year for three years.
    • €9,000 per year for three years.
    • €6,500 per year for three years.
    • €3,900 per year for three years.

The Émile Boutmy programme is a tuition grant that covers a portion of the tuition for the Master’s degree program’s two years. Every year, it is worth €13,100 per year.

Notes:
  1. Your scholarship will be forfeited if you do not validate your academic year.
  2. The year abroad is the third year of the undergraduate programme, and scholarship holders will keep their additional cost-of-living award and tuition fee grant (if applicable).
  3. The Émile Boutmy scholarship is automatically renewed if the student decides to continue with graduate studies at Sciences Po.
  4. You will forfeit your award if you are awarded a scholarship and choose to defer your admission.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Candidates must hold a foreign secondary school diploma from a non-French secondary school.
  • Candidates must be citizens of a country that is not a member of the European Union.
  • The candidate’s household should not be a European Union tax filer.
  • Candidates must be fluent in French or English, depending on the program they are applying for.
  • Furthermore, this scholarship cannot be combined with other scholarships, such as the Eiffel Scholarship, BGD…etc.

Who is not eligible? 

  • Swiss and Norwegian applicants are encouraged to apply, as they may be eligible for CROUS scholarships.
  • Candidates with mixed nationality, including EU citizenship
  • Candidates from Quebec for master’s degrees (since they can benefit from sliding scale costs like European applicants). Candidates from Quebec may apply for a bachelor’s degree.
  • Applicants for the Joint Master of Journalism and International Affairs degree
  • Candidates for master’s level dual-degree programmes, unless you are applying to one of the following programmes:
  1. the Sciences Po/Columbia University Journalism Dual Degree
  2. the combined degree Sciences Po/Fudan University in Global Affairs with a concentration in Europe Asia (only Chinese nationals accepted)
  3. the combined degree Sciences Po/Peking University (only Chinese nationals accepted)
  • Students enrolled in the Ph.D. program (thesis)
  • Candidates for one-year Master’s degrees
  • Candidates for a bachelor’s dual degree (unless otherwise agreed)
  • Students on exchange
  • Candidates who apply through the French graduate admissions process

  • CV
  • All official transcripts and certificates
  • Passport copy
  • An academic reference
  • English test score
  • Evidence of income and documentation describing the family circumstances are required for both undergraduate and graduate programs.

  • If you have previously been denied, reapplying for the Émile Boutmy scholarship is impossible.

Important: Students cannot apply for the Émile Boutmy scholarship after being admitted to Sciences Po or during their studies there. If a student is not awarded the Émile Boutmy scholarship, he or she is responsible for finding alternative funding.

For Undergraduate College (First-Time Applicants):

  • Foreign secondary schools: Indicate your application for the Émile Boutmy scholarship in your Sciences Po application’s “Financial information” section. Proof of income and family documents may be requested.
  • French secondary schools: After validating your application on Parcoursup, contact the Admission Office via the provided form. Submit proof of income and relevant family documents.

For Master’s Level (First-Time Applicants):

  • Indicate your application for the Émile Boutmy scholarship in the “Financial information” section of your Sciences Po application. Attach proof of income, family documents, and, if applicable, language test scores.

For Deferred Candidates (Undergraduate and Master’s):
