Greece offers volunteer work opportunities in 2024 with full funding, including accommodation and salary, with the provision of a Schengen visa letter for Greece and the value of the flight tickets is refunded. Application is available for a limited period.
Last summer, the whole of Greece experienced massive forest fires that burned thousands of acres of land. Unfortunately, one of the areas affected was the Calme Garden ecological project, which lost much of its infrastructure and gardens. That’s why during this and the previous volunteer project, we will focus on its restoration!
In November, the Volunteer Foundation will continue working on the Earth’s Ecosystem Restoration project, in partnership with another foundation, an environmental expert experienced in sustainable agriculture, to create a more resilient and regenerative organism.
This volunteer project will completely redesign the garden areas and create farm garden beds. This volunteer method is a form of water-retaining landscaping that is considered the best practice for growing food in the dry Mediterranean landscape now and in the future, as the world’s climate changes.
