Eligibility Criteria for Master Mind Scholarship 2025
To qualify for this top-tier Europe scholarship for international students, applicants must meet the following criteria
- The candidate applies to enrol in a master’s program at a Flanders-based higher education establishment (referred to as the “Flemish host institution”).
- The candidate ought to demonstrate exceptional academic achievement and/or promise. With a 4.0 grade point average, the student’s score is 3.5.
- The student speaks English fluently (for further information on the precise requirements, please visit the official website).
- To be eligible to earn the scholarship, the student must be accepted by the host university. This requirement is applicable even if the host institution decides to accept the student after the Master Mind Scholarships program is chosen.
- Only one Flemish higher education institution may nominate the candidate. The applicant must select one Flemish higher education institution to submit his or her application through the Mobility Online service if the applicant is preselected by multiple Flemish higher education institutions.
- Russian applicants are the only ones who cannot apply. The prior degree must have come from an outside Flanders higher education institution.
- Applications from current Flemish higher education students are not accepted.

How to Apply for Master Mind Scholarship 2025?
Follow these steps to apply for the Belgium Master Mind Scholarship:
- STEP 1 Check if you are eligible to apply and if the Flemish institution of your choice participates in the Master Mind Scholarships
- STEP 2 Submit your application to the host institution before their internal deadline (check the deadlines here)
- STEP 3 The host institution preselects the eligible applications
- STEP 4 The host institution starts the application procedure for the Master Mind Scholarship by creating your application file in the Mobility-Online application tool
- STEP 5 You receive an email generated by the Mobility-Online tool notifying you of being preselected for a Master Mind Scholarship
- STEP 6 You register in the Mobility-Online tool and complete your application file in the Mobility-Online tool before the deadline. Documents to be uploaded:
- Passport photo
- International passport or national ID
- A Curriculum Vitae (including your American GPA out of 4.0 and if applicable your publications, academic awards, previous scholarships, etc.)

- English language test results or letter of exemption provided by the host university
- Letter of motivation written in English
- Two signed letters of recommendation from professors of your (previous) home university, university of applied sciences (and arts) or recent employer written in English.
- Copy of acquired diploma(s); if written in a language other than Dutch, French, German or English, a certified translation must be enclosed.
- STEP 7 The host institution validates and submits the completed application file in the Mobility-Online tool before the deadline of 27th April 2025 23h59 GMT+1. Applications validated submitted after 27th April 2025 23h59 GMT+1 will not be accepted.
Note: Each university may nominate up to 20 applicants for this fully funded master’s scholarship program in Belgium.
