How we verify listings

GrabScholarships lists scholarships run by universities, governments and organisations. We don't award scholarships ourselves, so the official provider always has the final word. This page explains what we check, and what you should check too.

Before a listing goes live

  • We find it on the provider's own website (a university, government, embassy, foundation or the organisation running it), not only on another listing site.
  • We confirm the provider is real and identifiable, and that the "Apply" link goes to the provider's official page.
  • We check the main facts against that page: who can apply, the level of study, what it pays for, and the deadline.
  • We write each listing in our own words and link to the official source.
  • We don't list anything that asks students to pay an application fee to a middleman, or that promises a "guaranteed" scholarship.

Listings from our older site

Some listings were written before our current checks. We are re-checking them, starting with the ones students read most. Until a listing has been re-checked, treat the official link as the source of truth.

Deadlines and status

  • Each listing shows a status worked out from its deadline: Open or Closes in X days. It updates by itself every day.
  • Most scholarships run every year. When a deadline passes, the listing rolls forward to the same date next year and is marked Expected until we confirm the new round from the provider. One-off awards are marked Closed.
  • Deadlines can move, and time zones differ. Always confirm the exact closing time on the official page.

Who can apply

Our "Scholarships for … students" pages and the Find my scholarships quiz match you to listings using the eligibility wording on each page. That is a helpful shortcut, not a guarantee: some awards exclude particular countries or have extra conditions. Read the official eligibility before you apply.

Corrections

If something on a listing is wrong or out of date, use Report a mistake at the bottom of the listing, or the contact page. Send the official link if you have one. We check reports and correct, update or remove the listing.

Independence

Providers can't pay to appear higher in search results or in the quiz. If we ever feature a partner, it's labelled clearly. See our Trust Center and how to avoid scholarship scams.
