Cambridge, United Kingdom
A collegiate university with more than 800 years of history.
The University of Cambridge was founded in 1209. Like Oxford, it is collegiate: you apply to and live in one of its colleges, while lectures and exams are organised by the university.
Undergraduate teaching includes "supervisions", small-group sessions with an expert in the subject. Cambridge is particularly strong in the sciences, mathematics, engineering and computer science, and is the centre of a large technology cluster known as Silicon Fen.
For undergraduate admission Cambridge normally asks for IELTS Academic 7.5 overall, usually with at least 7.0 in each part. Graduate courses publish their own requirements.
International undergraduate fees depend on the subject. Computer Science is £46,872 per year for 2027 entry, and international students normally also pay an annual college fee, which varies by college.
Figures last checked October 2026. Fees change every year, so confirm them with the university before you apply.
