Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for the Tokyo Global Partner Fully Funded Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  1. Educational Background

    • For a Master’s program: Applicants must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program.
    • For a PhD program: Applicants must be enrolled in a Master’s degree program.

  1. Institutional Affiliation

  • Must be enrolled at a partner institution of TMU, OR
  • A recognized higher education institution located in:
    • Any of Tokyo’s sister cities, OR
    • Any Asian country or region.

  1. Professional Affiliation (alternative route)

    • Applicants may also qualify if they are employed at:
      • A research institution
      • A governmental body
      • An enterprise
    • The organization must be based in:
      • Tokyo’s sister cities, OR
      • Another Asian country or region.
